Japan festival to screen ‘Life without life’

Iran film ‘Life without Life’ has been scheduled to go on the silver screen at the 30th edition of the Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) in Japan.

The film, produced by Jafar Mohammadi, has been written and directed by Kaveh Moeinfar.

The drama narrates the life story of a musician and his ailing father.

Among the film's cast are Abbas Attai, Amir Vazzan and Marjan Sadeqi.

The director of the new flick has been on directing teams of several notable Iranian films.

Established in 1985, the TIFF has been held biennially from until 1991 and annually thereafter.

Along with the Shanghai International Film Festival, TIFF is one of Asia's most important competitive film festivals, and the only Japanese festival accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations based in Paris.

The 30th edition of the Japanese event is slated to be held from October 25 to November 3, 2017.
